02about the project

We design the architecture and interior design projects providing a new image to the hotel. 

The materiality of the new facade is inspired by cork oaks. We took advantage of its main product, cork, to design a set of slats that overlap the current facade, generating transparencies that refer us to the leaves of the trees, thus creating a relationship between the building and the surrounding landscape.

The landscape and natural light are transported to the interior together with the diverse and heterogeneous furniture, to create cozy and relaxed micro-spaces. We added natural textures such as stone and wood, combined with metallic sculptural elements that enhance the geometry of the space. The sloping roof of the lobby enhances the spatial feel of the environment while directing attention to the large opening to the outside.

The lobby bar has a visual opening to the reception, which together with the integration of the esplanade into the interior environment results in a space without visual barriers. The restaurant is designed under a relaxed aesthetic that combines natural textures with Portuguese ceramics and suspended vegetation. The space opens to the outside through large openings, we take advantage of the pillars covered with decorative structures with hanging plants to refresh the atmosphere and organize the space.

The landscape and traditional architecture contribute to the essence of the rooms by incorporating small decorative details that convey the Portuguese spirit to the atmosphere of the space. The goal is to represent the different heights and textures of the golf course by introducing fabrics of various weaves and at the same time, unique cork details in the furniture, conveying the native landscape. We sought to create a sense of elegance and comfort in a relaxed atmosphere by taking advantage of the predominance of light tones and adding small touches of intensity with wood and metals.

For the pool and wellness area, we fused water, light and earth to create a clean and pure space with a strong visual charge, creating a play of light, shadows and reflections. Pure coatings such as white microcement combined with Portuguese ceramic murals and wooden furniture give way to a bright, pure and warm atmosphere in which water is the protagonist.
